Spanish - Present Participle

In English: ending in -ing. Gerund = a present participle used as a noun.

In Spanish, use infinitive form for a subject instead of using a gerund.

Regular

• -ar => -ando.
• -er => -iendo
• -ir => -iendo

Irregular

• decir => diciendo
• pedir => pidiendo
• dormir => durmiendo
• morir => muriendo
• ir => yendo
• oír => oyendo
• traer => trayendo
