高加索三国

大高加索山脉被视为欧洲和亚洲的分界；山脉南边是南高加索，或外高加索；山脉北边是北高加索，或内高加索。这个区域的国家主要是阿塞拜疆，亚美尼亚和格鲁吉亚，以及俄罗斯的一部分。

语言

阿塞拜疆是突厥语，阿尔泰语系，和土耳其语是近亲；亚美尼亚夹在阿塞拜疆和土耳其中间，但不是突厥语，而属于印欧语系；格鲁吉亚是南高加索语系。

交通

航空

每个国家的首都有国际机场：第比利斯TBS，埃里温EVN，巴库GYD。

三国之间：

  • 因两国关系紧张，巴库和埃里温之间无直飞；
  • 巴库到第比利斯每天有多个阿塞拜疆航空Azerbaijan Airlines的航班；
  • 第比利斯到埃里温并不是每天都有航班，执飞的是格鲁吉亚的Georgian Airways或亚美尼亚的FlyOne Armenia（是摩尔多瓦航空公司FlyOne的亚美尼亚子公司）；

国际中转：（跟国际关系紧密相关）

  • 阿塞拜疆和土耳其关系很近，每天有很多往返航班，飞伊斯坦布尔每天可达十班以上，三小时。
  • 亚美尼亚和俄罗斯关系很近，航班最多的是去莫斯科的。
  • 第比利斯到伊斯坦布尔也是每天有多个航班，但航班数远不及巴库；另有每天多班飞特拉维夫和杜拜。
  • 中国到外高加索只有巴库有直飞。

并没有很多很现代的大巴；和其他前苏联国家一样，格鲁吉亚和亚美尼亚有很多苏式小巴Marshrutka。第比利斯和埃里温之间可以坐小巴，六个多小时，价格较便宜，舒适性较差。

出租车和Rideshare

阿塞拜疆和格鲁吉亚可以使用Bolt，是一个爱沙尼亚的公司。三国都可以用俄国的Yandex.taxi。另外亚美尼亚有个本地公司ggTaxi。

Lake Sevan

"the seas of Armenia": Along with Lake Van and Lake Urmia, Sevan is considered one of the three great "seas" of historic Armenia. (Lake Urmia now in Iran, Lake Van in Turkey)

Typical modern Armenian last names (family names) end with the originally patronymic suffix -յան (reformed orthography) or -եան (classical orthography), transliterated as -yan, -ian, or less often '-jan'. Example: Petrosyan, meaning "issued from Petros", akin to the English name Peterson as "son of Peter".
